We interpret themes broadly and recommend becoming familiar with past years' anthologies (see “Publications” tab on the web site: wwwDOToutriderpressDOTnet) for a sense of the work we accept.

All submissions read/evaluated by in-house editorial staff. Submission does not guarantee acceptance; manuscripts making the final cut are forwarded to independent judges for possible cash award for poetry and prose. Also: 2nd and 3rd places. All winners and other selected contributors receive Featured Reader status at our Publishing Party, free and open to all, and traditionally held at Chicago's Sulzer Regional Library. Each published contributor receives a free copy of the anthology. Judge: To be announced.
